Engine number 300,000 is completed at Petit-Rechain.

Sherwood Medical Industries leaves Brunswick. The legal entity Brunswick SA disappears. Mercury Marine SA becomes Marine Power Europe.

  • 3 September 1981

Personnel and their families celebrate the tenth anniversary of the business now known as Marine Power Europe.

Claude Fabry is appointed Managing Director and Albert Claes Manufacturing Director

The first Mariner outboard is completed at Petit-Rechain.

The Cheratte facility is closed and the land and buildings are sold to the Belgian Ministry of Public Works
