Inauguration of extensions to the plant. The extra 6,000 square metres brings the total area under cover to 26,000 square metres

  • 1 November 1992

Marine Power Europe starts distribution of Brunswick boat brands Fisher, Laguna, Maxum, Robalo, Sea Ray, Spectrum and Starcraft. 

1993

  • Launching of the Aluminium boats.
  • Launching of the Quicksilver Fiberglass boats.
  • Marine Power Italy is established

On-line ordering system for French dealers is set up using MINITEL

  • 5 April 1993

The assembly of aluminium boats starts at Petit-Rechain under the brand names Fisher and Spectrum, later changed to Quicksilver.

  • 6 December 1993

Randy Gray takes over as General Manager.

 

1995

  • Launching of the Örnvik Boats.
  • Photo of the group MPE
  • Marine Power Switzerland is established.

1996

  • Launching of the Rotomoulded boats.
  • A financial stake is taken in Norwegian boat builder Askeladden.

1997

Uttern Boats in Sweden is acquired

  • April 1997

Marine Power Europe launches one of the very first multilingual Extranet, allowing dealers to order parts and accessories over the Internet

1998

  • May 1998

Jacques Bronchart is named General manager.

  • 4 November 1998

The one-millionth outboard engine is completed at the Petit-Rechain plant. This engine, a Mercury 50, is later donated to a Turkish earthquake relief organisation.

 

1999

  • Launching of the Valiant Boats.
  • Launching of the Arvor & Armor Boats.
  • Acquisition of Interboat & St-Cast Marine in France.

 

  • 4 November 1999

A new assembly process, Mass Customisation, is introduced in order to improve service to customers and ensure long-term profitability.
